... I have Reflex sympathetic dystrophy syndrome/Chronic Regional Pain Syndrome & have recently received a letter from ACC advising me that my compensation will be stopped on 14 May 2010..... Could anyone tell me who the advocate is in the Hawke's Bay area, so that I may contact them for advice. |

... I recently received a written apology from Acc in regards to their (unsuccessful) prosecution for criminal fraud.....they failed to accompany their rather extensive apology with any reference or recommendation to quantum. I have appealed against the decision to apologise as the very serious matter of quantum was not addressed.....can anyone comment as to whether or not the DRSL can rule in this specific matter given strong evidence that the prosecution should never have been launched? Would really appreciate any members comments. thanks in anticipation. |

... Could you please tell me - the ACC system for funding district nurses. I understand there was bulk funding up until 1998. After that there was a Form HP558 . This was a Prior Arrangement Request Form (ACC Claimants) and from what I understand this was a monthly form sent in to ACC with the claimants number and name...the proposed number of treatments for the coming months and the form was for prior approval by ACC. As I have an absence of medical certificates, I had the district nurses come to see me some 120 times from 1999 through to 2002. I have to establish would ACC have known that I was incapacitated? As the district nurses dressed my wound each time they came to see me, which was my incapacity before my leg was amputated in 2002, I believe that the district nurses are health providers and by them invoicing ACC each month for prior approval, ACC would have known beyond all reasonable doubt that I was incapacitated before they paid to have my leg amputated in 2002. So far the district nurses have been very reluctant and have avoided telling me how the system worked from 1999 onwards.....I would appreciate any comments on facts on how the system worked from the district nurses to ACC on an invoice system...I need this to prove my case.
