I am now well comforted knowing that the truly righteous Minister of ACC, Nick Smith has my safety and well being as a motorcyclist at heart.
I am filled with joy to know that not only has the government "ring fenced" 30 million $ of motorcycle levies for motorcyclists safety but that Dr Nick and his new mates from BRONZE, Usillies and ACC made that trip to Victoria to Study motorcycle safety.
Motor cycle levies well spent I would say. It gladdens my heart to know that my hard earned dollar has in part contributed to that overseas junket.
Isn't it marvellous what an ingenious kiwi can come up with. In particular I think the grill protecting the helmet is a very sound idea in preventing errant gala's and the odd thrown tinny from actually damaging the riders apparel.
The security cage itself seems very robust and I imagine will allow paramedics or the police to quickly pick up the riders parts should he have the misfortune of hitting the road saving them time and money.
The only snag I can see in this safety outfit is that the Victorian police have yet to appreciate its value as a safety device
